High Speed Gear and Phokus Research Group revealed their new collaborative medical carry and treatment gear for warfighters at SHOT Show 2026

The companies pair well together, with High Speed Gear representing a leading U.S. maker of tactical load-bearing equipment and Phokus Research offering innovative operational medicine and medicinal systems integration.

“Warfighters deserve medical solutions that are built for the reality of their missions: fast, intuitive, rugged, and reliable under stress,” said Allison Mitchum, vice president of sales and marketing for High Speed Gear Products Group. “Working alongside Phokus allows us to take proven platforms and elevate them into complete, operationally relevant systems that help keep people alive when seconds matter.”

Focusing on durability, rapid access, and real-world usability, the joint endeavor pairs battle-proven equipment with specific field needs. Their offerings cover everything from individual first aid kits (IFAKs) to medic and Role 1 systems for serious conditions.

Some of the pair’s offerings include the ORK (Operator Response Kit) IFAK. This kit is configured by Phokus around the High Speed Gear Med Pak pouch for a flexible medical package that fits a wide range of operational needs.

Key features include a quick-access pull tab, MOLLE compatibility, and a rigid internal organizer panel.

Then there’s the Phokus Surgical Ruck. This Multi-Mission Medical-Surgical Ruck was customized for resuscitation and damage control surgery in austere environments. A key component of this gear is its multifunctional design. Unlike other systems, this surgical ruck also includes space for personal sustainment essentials like water, food, and warming layers.

“This collaboration is about increasing medical readiness through intelligent design and consistent access to lifesaving tools,” noted Rob Hanna, CEO of Phokus Research Group. “High Speed Gear brings decades of manufacturing excellence and field-proven durability, and together we’re delivering systems configured to support Tactical Combat Casualty Care and advanced care delivery in the most demanding environments. We’re excited to showcase what’s possible when two mission-focused organizations build together.”

SHOT Show attendees can find High Speed Gear at booth #72739 on the SHOT Show floor.
