New for 2026, Mossberg International has added two semi-auto options to its budget Maverick 88 shotgun lineup. Branching out from the previously all pump-action family tree, the new Maverick SA 12-gauge shotguns offer dependable Mossberg quality at an affordable price.

The new Maverick SA is chambered for 2.75-inch and 3-inch shotshells with a six-shot capacity. The shotguns are offered in a traditional satin-polished walnut, with a checkered grip and forend and a grip logo engraving, or in a durable synthetic blacked-out model. Both models offer adjustable length of pull from 12.5-14.25 inches via removable spacers on the stock, making these customizable for a range of user sizes and purposes.

A cross-bolt safety is conveniently located at the rear of the trigger assembly, and you’ll find a gas-vent operating system and a “quick-empty” bolt release for easy unloading. Each shotgun is fitted with a 28-inch vent rib barrel and front fiber optic sight. The Maverick SA also features Mossberg’s Accu-Choke system, increasing the gun’s versatility for different hunting and sporting uses.

The Maverick SA with satin walnut furniture is offered at a rather specific $693, and the synthetic model at $623. Look for more from Mossberg this week as we catch up with the company at SHOT Show 2026.
