Jacob Grey announced this week that the next evolution of its double-stack 1911 TWC Hex platform is headed to dealers in February. The Hex Pro features a steel frame with aluminum grip module, a new slide and barrel design with a chunk-ported 4.6-inch barrel, and refined ergonomics.

The handgun uses Armored Billet components, meaning the ambidextrous safety, ejector, disconnector, magazine release, hammer, sear, and grip screws are fully CNC-machined from tool steel, hardened, and DLC-coated for durability and consistency.

The aircraft-grade aluminum grip borrows from the shape and geometry of the Jacob Grey Nox 9 to provide a natural fit across a range of hand sizes. And of course, the signature hexagon-shaped grip texture carries over on the Hex Pro.

After the TWC Hex won GunsAmerica’s Handgun of the Year award at its SHOT Show 2025 release, there’s already plenty of buzz around the new Hex Pro. We’ll be bringing you a closer look as we catch up with the company this week, so stick around for more SHOT Show coverage. If you’re in Las Vegas yourself, Jacob Grey is giving away a handgun each day of SHOT Show 2026 – and what could be more fun that winning a new gun?
