DoubleTap Ammunition amped up its SnakeShot offerings and designed a new .32 ACP round for 2026, and Guns.com got a first look at SHOT Show.

DT Snakeshot Magnum

For hunters and anyone who roams the wild, DoubleTap has expanded its SnakeShot line with a new SnakeShot Magnum series for magnum revolvers.

The DT SnakeShot Magnum is available in all magnum cartridges, including .327 Federal .357 Mag, .454 Casull, .44 Mag, and .500 S&W. The rounds are designed for maximum penetration; for example, the .454 Casull 140-grain hard-cast ball can penetrate nearly 25 inches into ballistic gel.

That means these loads can be used on anything from snakes to big predators with confidence – all while delivering consistent shot patterns that the company is known for with its original SnakeShot series.

“So, you don’t have carry five different loads in your gun to be prepared for the woods,” DT rep James McNett told us. “You can carry one load that will do it all.”

.32 ACP

Word on the street is .32 ACP is making a comeback. (If you haven’t seen Beretta’s new .32 ACP Cheetahs, check them out.) DoubleTap has a .32 ACP 60-grain solid copper hollow point round designed for the KelTec P32 that ups the ante for this caliber.

Shooters of .32 ACP were long relegated to FMJ bullets or low-performing hollow points, but with modern technology, the .32 ACP becomes a viable defensive caliber, Monett explained.

“With modern bullet technology, you can get good defensive capability out of that cartridge,” he said.

We’re told DoubleTap has some new 6mm ARC as well as .357 SIG and .40 S&W lead-free loads in development, so look for more innovations to come from the company this year.
