Staccato has done it again. I am really considering buying the company’s newest offering: the Staccato HD C4X. This Glock 19-size carry gun takes Glock mags but has the shootability of a 2011 with an integrated compensator.
Unlike other companies, Staccato doesn’t come out with lemons. You know this pistol will be reliable and accurate.
The HD C4X
Staccato needs no introduction. The company kicked off the 2011 trend and continues to be its leader, even addressing the biggest weak point of the 2011 design: the magazines. The HD line that debuted last year is 2011s that take Glock mags, and the latest addition to this line is the HD C4X.

The “C” must stand for “compact,” because the grip is short for Glock 19-sized 15-rounders, while “4X” refers to the 4-inch barrel with integrated compensator. It is a dedicated comp attached to the end of the barrel, with the barrel stability benefit that goes with it. It’s not just ports cut in the barrel and slide, which some companies are calling a compensator, either. The C4X comp has a true expansion chamber and a plate to redirect the gases. This comp has been thought out for effectiveness. It is not merely cosmetic; it works.
This is what modern shooters want: a compact carry gun with an effective compensator that will help with getting rounds on target. You can run this pistol as well as any full-sized gun. After having tried it, I would say it is probably the flattest shooting gun in its class.
