Wraith Metalworks has one of the coolest suppressor designs on the market. As many companies look to take advantage of the $0 NFA tax stamp, 2026 is becoming the year of the suppressor.

With that booming popularity, it can be difficult to sift through the noise (pun intended) to find the coolest advancements in suppressor technology. The folks at Wraith Metalworks have made it their goal to stand out from the crowd.

Who is Wraith?

Industry Day at the Range at SHOT always provides a chance to see a lot of products in action. The day can be dominated by big name brands and slightly new upgrades on popular designs, but every now and then, you come across something unique. This year, Wraith Metalworks had a few suppressors out on several different firearms, with a table of what looked like Lego pieces.

This was enough to intrigue me, and after shooting a few firearms with no hearing protection to appreciate the sound reduction, I was hooked.

Wraith Metalworks made a big push to launch its brand at SHOT Show 2026, but the company has been working on this project for a while. Last year at Silencer Summit, Wraith had the first, second, and fifth quietest cans of 141 submissions. With that success, the company has springboarded into the market, ready to make a big splash.

These cans are not the quietest or cheapest cans on the market, but the company aims to provide “the last can you’ll ever need.”

A Different Approach

The past few years have seen massive advancements and suppressor manufacturing technology, from 3D printing to different metal mixes. Suppressors are more intricate and effective than ever, but most suppressors are good at one particular thing, while sacrificing in other areas.

These oversized baffle models show the different designs of the baffles. Each baffle stack serves a different purpose.

For example, if you want a suppressor with low backpressure for a semi-automatic design, that design will not be as effective as it could be on a bolt gun. If you need a super quiet bolt gun suppressor, with lots of baffles and a sealed system, it will most likely be over-gassed and less effective on a semi-automatic firearm.

Wraith Metal Works plans to offer this package that includes all three suppressors with a plethora of baffles to customize to fit your needs – the last suppressor purchase you’ll ever need.

Wraith has developed a Build-a-Bear approach to the suppressor design. The company has three base suppressor tube designs: the Raider, Ambush, and Sentinel. These suppressor housings are completely modular, with removable baffles that can be customized to your needs. The extremely intricate and complex baffle designs are 3D printed and can be arranged in the suppressor sleeve housing to fit the needs of the shooter, from baffles designed for different bore sizes to account for a wide array of calibers, to stacking baffles in certain orientations to accommodate semi-automatic or bolt-action shooting.

The Cans

The Raider is the smallest of the suppressor housings, designed for semi-automatic firearms like the AR-15. The Ambush is designed to bridge the gap between those smaller intermediate cartridges and full-sized rifle cartridges, while the Sentinel is designed to handle rifle to magnum rifle calibers, especially on big bolt guns.

The Raider can be extremely compact and is designed for the professional who is looking for amazing performance on smaller, intermediate rifle cartridges.

Each suppressor housing has its own unique sleeve design that works in different ways to dissipate heat and vent gases forward, but the Wraith Metalworks baffle system is one standard size that fits inside any of the three designs. This makes it easy to store the baffles and not worry about mixing up designs as you customize. Each suppressor can also be adjusted for length, which is especially important if you are prioritizing sound reduction or maneuverability.

The Sentinel’s name denotes its “overwatch” role as it is designed to handle those large magnum rifle calibers.

Wraith has a truly customizable suppressor system that can easily be configured to handle anything from rimfire to magnum rifle calibers. Whether you want a suppressor tube full of baffles for a super-quiet bolt gun or an expansion chamber for those gas guns with lots of backpressure, you can make it fit what you need.

A cutaway of the Sentinel suppressor shows that the suppressor sleeve is as complex as the baffle design, all working together to reduce sound and vent gas.

While each design will be offered individually, Wraith plans to release a package with all three serialized suppressor housings and a load of modular baffles in a kit that will replace the need for any other suppressor. That’s a bold move, but the technology seems to be sound.
