Chiappa refuses to let the revolver be relegated to the sidelines in 2026. At SHOT Show, the Italian company showed off its new .44 Magnum Rhino 60DS L-Frame revolver in several flashy finishes.
 

The Nebula has a shimmery space-age durable PVD finish that will match any outfit, or there’s a classy matte-finish Gold model for when you’re really feeling fancy, as well as Nickel and Black options.

Chiappa also has a couple of limited editions for 2026, including the eye-catching Elite, which is a run of only 44 guns done in a colorful graphic art-style finish. It has a solid aluminum Hogue grip and comes in a locking metal case with leather-lined cutouts for the gun, along with a certificate of authenticity, a commemorative patch, and a display stand so you can enjoy this work of art.
 

Another limited edition, simply called the Rhino 60DS L-Frame Special, is a run of 440 guns featuring a patriotic American flag theme laser-etched onto a navy blue Cerakote finish. A Rhino 44 patch and certificate of authenticity are included.

Chiappa has perfected the triggers on these modernized wheel guns, which fire from the bottom of the cylinder, keeping the bore axis low. They sport custom Hogue grips for a comfortable fit that helps soften the kick, even with the powerful .44 Magnum. The combination of trigger, low bore axis, and ergonomic grips makes these powerful wheel guns accurate and soft-shooting, as we found when we reviewed the .357 Mag version of the Rhino 60DS.

MSRP starts at $1,470 for the Black Rhino and goes up from there.
