Hornady Hypes Hot Rod .22 Creedmoor, Adds Hunting Ammo

The big red H continues innovating, so it should come as no surprise that we’re seeing a host of new Hornady ammo products for 2026.

The young .22 Creedmoor chambering gets supercharged, a fresh line of deer hunting ammo appears, and there’s lots of loot for handloaders, too. We toured Hornady’s bustling booth at SHOT Show 2026 in Las Vegas, and here’s a look at the highlights.

.22 Creedmoor Expansion

Though the .22 Creedmoor has technically been around for a number of years as a wildcat, Hornady is going all-in on what it is calling “a hot rod .22 for the 21st century.” The list of companies already building either firearms or barrels for the round is creeping up on 30.

Hornady now offers loads in V-Max (69 grain), Precision Hunter (80 grain), Superformance (65 grain), and Match (80 grain). The fastest muzzle velocity checks in at 3,660 fps for the Superformance. In addition to ever-expanding lines of ammunition, Hornady fully supports reloaders with dies, casings, and more.

We’re looking forward to sending some .22 Creedmoor rounds downrange in 2026. With Hornady’s backing, it looks like a surefire winner for everything from vermin to medium-sized game hunting.

American Whitetail Tipped

Hornady’s original American Whitetail line of deer-specific ammunition debuted at SHOT Show back in 2013, and it has been a solid performer ever since. The majority of those rounds are topped with Interlock Soft Points. For 2026, the company is rolling out a sleek American Whitetail Tipped lineup. Depending on the chamberings, they’re loaded with either Hornady SST or FTX bullets in the favored deer weights.

That includes:

6.5 PRC – 129 grain
6.5 Creed – 129 grain
.270 Win – 130 grain
7mm-08 Rem – 139 grain
7mm PRC – 154 grain

Hornady Lock‑N‑Load Pro Press

If you like Hornady’s Classic Press, odds are good you’ll really appreciate this new Classic Pro even more. The newbie uses precision-machined surfaces, linkage pins, brass bushings, and primer cups for tighter tolerances, a smoother feel, and consistent results.

There’s an integrated grease zerk and internal grease groove for the easiest maintenance. A Lock‑N‑Load Die Caddy keeps your dies and tools handy, but it also doubles as a powder measure stand.

Digital Ammo Cabinet

Who doesn’t need a dedicated space for their gun food? Hornady meets that need with the new Digital Ammo Cabinet. This heavy-duty steel housing uses a three-point locking system and 10-digit keypad.
