Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday with Guns & Ammo: Spotted at SHOT Show 2026
The year 2026 marks our country’s semiquincentennial, a 250th birthday of American liberty, and what better way to celebrate than with some of the year’s finest guns and gear?
We roamed the miles of SHOT Show aisles to find the limited-edition, highly engraved, and otherwise distinctive gun and ammo launches marking the occasion.
Check it out.
If the “Land of the Free” and “Home of the Brave” were a pistol, this would be it. That’s exactly what you get with this stainless 1911 Custom collaboration from Auto-Ordnance and Koted Arms. The gun includes unique graphic grips depicting the bald eagle, American flag, and stars. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
Remington Ammunition offered the most patriotic-forward ammo branding with its new, limited-edition bulk buckets. Following in the spirit of earlier Remington .22 LR bullet buckets, these newbies are part of a limited-edition run available only for 2026. While the “Come and Take It” and “Don’t Tread on Me” pails exude 2A cool, it’s the “We the People” version that is the actual commemorative item. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
Hunting rifles can be both beautiful and useful, as proven by this Browning BAR semi-automatic centerfire. The limited-edition Mk4 Medallion Americana shows Grade III walnut against a nickel receiver with high-relief 250th Anniversary American Flag engraving. Chamberings include .243 Win, .308 Win, .270 Win, .30-06 Sprg, 7mm Rem Mag, and .300 Win Mag. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
Ammo powerhouse Federal wouldn’t be left out of the patriotic party, offering a limited run of collectible boxes celebrating the American spirit as part of our country’s 250th. Loads include Champion .22 LR, American Eagle .45 Auto, .30-06 Sprg, .45-70 Gov’t, and the pictured Top Gun 12-gauge target loads in special 250th packaging. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
One of America’s most timeless firearm designs, the Henry Original repeating lever-action rifle, makes the perfect host for celebrating the 250th. The Spirit of ‘76 Semiquincentennial Edition is a museum-grade, limited-edition rifle built on Henry’s New Original platform. Limited to just 250 pieces, these beauties, chambered in .44-40 WCF, have a nickel-plated brass receiver, extensive engraving, and are highlighted in 24-karat gold. Scenes include a Revolutionary War battlefield, the Declaration of Independence signing, the Betsy Ross flag, a bald eagle, and the battle sword carried by George Washington. Winchester doubled down on the anniversary with two distinct options for memorializing the birthday. The first, and fanciest, is this double-packaged darling. Winchester salutes 250 years of American legacy with five unique options: Building Traditions, Defending Freedom, Committed to Conservation, American Hunter, and Pioneering America. They include rifle, shotgun, and handgun loads, with each box packed inside a larger red housing that’s ideal for display. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
Winchester’s second, and most extensive, 250th limited run of ammunition honors blue-collar workers. The trades covered include farmers, police, firefighters, welders, factory workers, ranchers, linemen, and excavators. Unique artwork on each box pays homage, and the ammunition types include rimfire, shotshell, handgun, and rifle. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
It’s not only long guns with the American spirit at Browning. The company’s Buck Mark pistol family gets supercharged in red, white, and blue with this Buck Mark 250 Freedom Vision. This limited-edition autoloading pistol marks 250 years of American freedom with a lightweight Vision barrel with a waving flag machining theme and striking red, white, and blue G-10 grips. Big things come in small packages, and that’s never been truer than it is at Bond Arms. The made-in-Texas derringer company showed off three 250th Anniversary variants, including this one with bold engraving and rugged stainless-steel construction. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
While the polished stainless and Rough series derringers are cool, the commemorative engraving stands out the most on this blacked-out Blackjack 250th. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
America’s most beastly semi-automatic pistol is a legit frontrunner for the most striking 250th-anniversary firearm of the year. This Desert Eagle pistol from Magnum Research exudes American pride with its full-figure “We the People” engraving, which runs from the muzzle brake to the grip panels. Note the unique 250th birthday engraving along the barrel and 2026 engraved at the rear of the receiver. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
It’s not all firearms and ammunition adorned in red, white, and blue. In fact, Pelican’s limited-edition 14-quart cooler celebrates 250 years, too. With special coloration and one-time badging, these extreme coolers were in high demand and going quickly. (Photo: Kristin Alberts/Guns.com)
If America’s military has a classic sidearm, it has to be the 1911 pistol chambered in .45 ACP. This commemorative from Auto-Ordnance and Altered Arsenal looks like a wartime edition with its gray slide and frame against copper-colored engravings of “1776” and “2026.” This metalwork joins with specially engraved wood grips depicting the Liberty Bell and American eagle.
