Glock continues to build out its new sixth generation pistol series with at least two new models shipping with enclosed emitter Aimpoint COA optics installed.

The COA made news last year when it hit on several Gen5 Glock models. We tested them and loved them, finding the optic and its new footprint rock solid, essentially a downsized ACRO. Then, as Glock ended the Gen5 in favor of the new Gen6, the COA-equipped Glock became tough to get.

The COA is a closed-emitter 3.5-MOA red dot inside a 7075-T6 high-strength aluminum housing with a super-low deck, vibration tolerances rated to 40,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and runs on a single 2032 battery, rated to produce over 50,000 hours (five years) of constant-on use. The optic is seen on a Gen5 G48. (Photo: Chris Eger/Guns.com)

Upping the ante on the remaining Gen5 COAs out there, Glock is now listing the Gen6 G45 and Gen6 G17s with the popular optic. No word on the Gen6 G19, but you can be sure that will be inbound soon as well.

Aimpoint is listing the COA by itself for $617, and Glock is retailing the now-standard ORS optics-patterned Gen6s for $745, which makes it clear that any price under $ 1,360-ish for a COA'd Gen6 is a bonus.

Glock has soft-launched these guns for some time, having shown off Gen6 COA models at SHOT Show in Las Vegas and IWA in Europe already this year, with the official launch likely at the NRA Annual Meeting next week.
