FN has an innovative new pistol optic just in time to join your summer carry rotation, and it’s an industry first.

The Pureview is a holographic micro red dot sight that's engineered with what FN calls “image guided technology,” allowing designers to scale down the normal holographic reticle projection to a single pane of glass. Thus, you can have the clear glass that holographic sights are known for, with no image distortion and no optical aberration, all in a tiny package.

The optic co-witnesses with the 509's iron sights.

The 3-MOA Pureview has a flat, thin profile and is built to be durable with crystal-clear glass. The optic uses a modified Delta Point Pro mount with the rear recoil lugs removed to make room for the onboard electronics.

It’s powered by a standard CR2032 battery, which provides 800 continuous hours of use, or one year of intermittent use. The optic automatically shuts off when not in use to conserve battery.

The Pureview is compatible with all FN pistols, and our FN rep told us the company is working with several aftermarket adapter plate manufacturers to ensure the optic can mount to any current production handgun. Those should be dialed in by the time the Pureview starts shipping, which should be in June or July.

The low profile will work well for concealed carry.
We couldn't get enough of this PS90 paired with a Pureview.
