We caught up with Glock at this year’s NRA Annual Meeting in Houston to check out its latest optics-equipped Gen6 pistols and updated magazines.

Glock massively shook up its collection of popular handguns with the launch of the new Gen6 models that replaced nearly all the company’s legacy designs. Now, the new guns are also available with the wildly successful Aimpoint COA closed-emitter red dot.

The COA is one of the most robust optics on the market today, and the A-cut in the Glock slides makes it a go-to option for hard-use shooting needs. This optic can literally survive hammering a nail into it. Thus, pairing it with the highly reliable Glock platform has been a top priority for many shooters.

Along with the COA updates to the Gen6 line, Glock introduced all-metal 15-round magazines for the popular slimline Glock 43X. The design departs from Glock’s traditional but bulky polymer-sleeved mags, and the boost in capacity for the concealable Glock 43X is a boon for concealed carry and duty needs.

Additionally, the company has a new 15-round magazine for the Glock 44 chambered in .22 LR. The G44 is a popular training platform, and the new 15-rounders up the capacity from the previous 10-round options.
