Wilson Combat Has a New Line of 9mm Pistols: Meet the Bulwark
Wilson Combat, one of the kings of tactically inclined customized pistols, has a new line of 9mm pew-pews coming to the market. The double-stack, 15+1, optics-ready Bulwark is a midsized service pistol meant for both duty use and concealed carry.
The guns feature an enclosed hammer-fired operating system that benefits from the superior trigger and reliability characteristics of traditional hammer-fired guns but with a snag-free profile. An enclosed hammer protects the operating system from debris while also offering the smooth sliding trigger found in guns like the 1911.
Users gain a 1911-style trigger with a 3.75- to 4.25-pound pull, crisp break, and tactile reset in a profile that is easy to carry and draw from concealment.
Features include stainless-steel slides over hand-fitted, match-grade barrels. The fire-control module is removable, and there’s an integrated frame rail that creates a rigid internal chassis for an extended service life even with hard use. Four safety features make the gun fit for everyday carry. These include an ergonomic grip safety that blocks both the sear and trigger, a firing-pin block, and a trigger-shoe safety. Despite its internal hammer-fired design, the Bulwarks actually share much in common with the Glock 19 profile, making these guns cross-compatible with many G19-pattern holsters.
The optics-ready design uses a pin-based red-dot mounting system, which is compatible with most modern pistol optics without requiring multiple plates.
